Those are all nails.. 30" x 36"....
Behold my masterpiece Nail Gandhi! This is a giant sculpture I made by hammering nails to a large board... All those dots are nails O.O (extreme stippling....) This took about 6 months and was very painful and frustrating. but it looks amazing in the end

I made this for my art class during my senior year. I printed out a photo I created of Gandhi over the summer, blew it up in photoshop and printed out squares for reference as where to put the nails

That's a very interesting medium to work with! I might understand how painful it can be to hammer some of those, especially the ones that are very close together, but a great result nonetheless considering its limits
